Need to host or join a teleconference or videoconference? We’ll be happy to help get you set up. Please contact Gary Hendrickson to set up an appointment.
Teleconferencing
Most university telephones can be used to make conference calls with up to six parties:
- Instructions for conferencing using a single-line handset
- Instructions for conferencing using a multi-line handset
If you are hosting a teleconference with multiple people together at your end, a Polycom Speakerphone is a great option. Most departments have a unit that can be reserved. Please contact your department’s admin to reserve a unit.
Videoconferencing
We support most videoconferencing and webinar software. Examples include Google Hangouts°, GoToMeeting, WebEx°, and Skype. Most faculty and staff computers now have a built-in microphone and camera for ease of use in integrating videoconferencing applications. If your computer doesn’t have the necessary hardware, we have cameras with microphones available for loan.
